30 Pounds Two Ways

As I'm sure most of you know by now, the boys have both been to the doctor in the past few weeks and weigh within a pound of each other - Christopher is 30.5 and Patrick is 29.5. The only problem is that Christopher is a full head taller than Patrick. So, below we have two different ways to be 30 lbs. They'll totally hate me for it later, but they were so cute waiting to get in the tub the other night that I just couldn't resist.

This was the scene from our front window for about an hour last Thursday morning as landscapers removed the tree that fell in our front yard. What could be cooler than guys with chainsaws. Christopher kept offering to go help. He was sad that I wouldn't let him.
So, new nephew Mark has new baby on the brain here, and yesterday I went to check in on Patrick at naptime and found this. I mean, really, since when is he so big that he takes up the whole crib AND has to sleep with Puppy and Moose.
I'm really pretty sure it was last month that he looked like this. If only they'd sleep when they were this age, it would be truly perfect!

We're off to playgroup at the water park today so I'm sure we'll have some more pics tomorrow!

Enjoy!

Rain is Falling Down ... Or Not

Here is Christopher's new skill. He learned this song about a week ago when it was actually raining and sings it at least 5 times a day even though it is 100 and way too sunny now. What we edited out was the 3 minutes of negotiation that preceded him actually sitting down and singing!

Enjoy!

Day out with Daddy!

I still hadn't put these up, and since we've been doing nothing with a captial N for the last two weeks (Patrick was sick and now Christopher has it), here are some pictures of the two boys and Daddy's trip to the children's museum right before Mother's Day. Fun for them, peace and quiet for Mommy - what could be better!

Christopher driving the fire truck
Enough legos to both play without fighting - it's a miracle!

Just making a quick run to the store

Do you like my hat?

Checking out the big dinosaur statue out front

Well, that's all for now. Hopefully we're all on the mend now (of course it's my turn to get it) and we'll do something fun this weekend to post later.

Enjoy!

Spring Vacation Pictures, Part 2

Here are the rest of my fabulous vacation pictures. Hmm, now I guess we'll have to do something exciting to take pictures of and blog about.

Grammy and two of her boys.
Poor Aunt Jenny being subjected to Paul's icy water torture.
Christopher stomping in puddles and LIKING IT!!!
How did he get this big?
Mr. Personality getting ready to woo the ladies with his beach bod.

Running away from the water

Running with Paul - I'm sure they were yelling too.

Enjoy!

Extreme Fruitiness

So, it's time to spill the beans. About 6 weeks ago I joined a fruit/veggie co-op. Let the hippie jokes begin. For $16.50 I get pretty much all the fruits/veggies we will eat for 2 weeks. This morning was a serious bonanza. As you can see below, I got pears/apples/oranges to fill a giant bowl, a honeydew, a big bunch of bananas, 6 or so small mangoes, 6 or 8 red potatoes, a spaghetti squash, and a bunch of other stuff that's in the fridge. If you're in Phoenix or Tucson, go to http://www.bountifulbaskets.org/ and check it out. Just to whet your tastebuds, here are some of the goods. If you're lucky, I'll give you some apple butter (assuming that it turns out well).

And now for the post I promised, the rest of the vacation pics.

Wish We Were Here

I finally got the pictures from our Pennsylvania trip downloaded, so I thought I'd put a few up for you to enjoy. Mommy is so wishing we were at the beach today. It's about 95F here and I have a snotty Patrick who fell asleep on the way back from Costco. He woke up as Christopher went to sleep, so they're tag teaming me today. Here are a few of my favorite pics.

Oh, you did get us seats? OK.

How many men (and playground balls) does it take to light a fire?

This will be super for blackmail someday.

Deep in conversation with Grammy - what else is new?

I'm so very sleepy and Grandad is so comfy

Looking for tadpoles - I love the lighting in this one.

OK, I think that's enough for now. My faithful assistant has taken to ripping up the kleenex I was using on his runny nose, so I should go. I'll put up more tomorrow.
Enjoy!
